All meetings of the Governing Board and committees it appoints are open to the public. The only exception to this is portions of the Governing Board meetings that may be declared Executive Session under the limits of the state's Open meetings Law 38-431. Such items that may be included in executive sessions are: hiring. firing and evaluation of employees, discussion of items that are normally considered confidential, or discussions with the board's attorney.

Items one wishes to be considered by the board, must be submitted in writing, signed and dated, by the Monday before the regular monthly board meeting. The board president has the discretion as to whether or not to include the item on the agenda, place it on a future agenda, or answer the party's questions from existing policy and not place it on the agenda.

Meetings are normally held in the school library at 7:00 p.m.

Governing Board Meetings are normally the second Monday of the Month unless that Monday is a Holiday or falls after a Holiday in some cases. Check the School Calendar Page for exact dates.

Governing Board Members for Calendar year 2007 and 2008 are

Patricia Dennis, President of the Board

Letters with the meetings for the year are posted outside the school office, at the Morristown Post Office and at the center Circle near the Star Route Boxes in Circle City. If you do not find a letter in any of these areas, please contact the school office. Often weather or individuals remove the letters.
