Mr. Trad's 8th grade students went on a trip to Universal Studios last year.. 8th Grade students thanked the PTSA for all of their assistance in making this trip possible, as well as all of the other contributing groups and individuals. The lessons related to this grade's field trips have been relate to the environment in the past, tying into the school's Desert Sonoran Trail. Several grants and many volunteers helped meet some of the school's long term goals of a desert trail within the 15 acres of Sonoran Desert on the school grounds adjacent to the current site. The Plan fits with the adopted Master Plan of the site by Talus-Taos Planners and Architects. It reserves 7 acres for a two mile trail utilizing the positive aspects of the site. Native species habitats have been constructed by the students. The Grand Hiking Club from Sun City Grand has been helping with the upkeep of the trail this past year and plans to continue this year.
The Trail is open to the public and makes a very interesting trip for those who wish to learn about the Sonoran Desert. Stop at the school office for a map of the Trail.
