Dear Parents/Gurdians,                  
      My name is Mary Moe. I am pleased to take this opportunity to introduce myself, and welcome your child to my third grade class.
     It is my belief that a good learning experience is built on a cooperative effort among parent, child and teacher. You as the parent play a major role in helping your child reach the maximum of his or her potential. By working together, I believe we can all help your child become the best person possible- socially, emotionally and scholastically.
     My expectations for conduct and academic standards are high. Your participation and encouragement in and out of the classroom will be major contributions to your child’s success this year.
     Please review the student handbook with your child.  Misbehavior of any sort will not be tolerated.  Consequences can include time on the bench during recess, loss of privileges, phone call home, and/or a visit to Mrs. Thompson.
      Again welcome! I am excited about working with you this year as we help your child experience all the joys of learning. If you have any questions or concerns throughout the school year, please do not hesitate to call. Unless it is an emergency, I would appreciate a note or phone call requesting a meeting time so that I will be able to give you and your child my undivided attention. Messages can be left for me at our school office, to which I will respond at my earliest opportunity (623-546-5100).
