State PTA can be seen at www.azpta.org (Scroll to the bottom of the page for calendar of events for the local PTSA) PTSA's ANNUAL FALL FEST was November 14, 2009. The Haunted House, Bouncing Units, a Cake Walk, games, and food were part of the fun. Tamale Chair, Laura Monrroy and her committee made their great tamales again this year. As always the PTSA Pancake Breakfast is staged in conjunction with the school's annual Art Show. PTSA also stages its 9th Annual Silent Auction at the same time. Proceeds go to the Arts in Education Fund.
 Grant received from the Arizona Commission on the Arts for 2009-2010. This year's resident is Juanita Hull-Carlson, mosaic artist and she will be present during the Science Fair in March since her art is directly related to the environmental theme of Science Fair. This is the district's twenty third year participating in this program. It has a real value in terms of reaching a broad spectrum of students, often students who may not be reached in the traditional manner. See the Fine Arts page for more information. PTSA is NOW participating in Escrip.com for Morristown School. PTSA has already had a number of deposits from escrip. All you have to do to register online is click here . Give the PTSA Group ID which is 6664785 or the zip code 85342 and it will take you to a registration screen. Deadline to renew already registered accounts is November 1, 2008. The sooner you register the sooner credit to PTSA will build up. All who have never registered for Morristown PTSA may register at anytime. PTSA is collecting Big G Boxtops for education. Boxtops for education is on-going.
PTSA participates in Basha's "Thanks a Million" program . Morristown PTSA's number to give the Basha cashiers for 2009-2010 is 28562. The program runs from September 1, 2009 through April 30, 2010. Please support PTSA to help support the school by linking your Thank you Card to Morristown School PTSA. You can actually do this on line by clicking here.

Annual Elections are in April PTSA election of officers takes place at the April Meeting. These meetings are staged in the A Pod at 7 p.m. PTSA Calendar, see school calendar page for detail.
Thanks to PTSA member Tina Crook, postcards of the group picture were mailed to all attendees who signed in at the Reunion. Current and former students, staff, parents and community members attended this very special event. The program was kicked off by a Pot Luck Dinner at 1 o'clock p.m. Visiting with friends and neighbors along with tours of the New building and the "Desert Sonoran Trail" highlighted the day's events. A special feature of the reunion was the public outreach of the 2005-2006 Artist in Residence If we go to a five year cycle, the next Reunion will be February 2011. |
