Dear Parents, Staff and Students,

On behalf of our new slate of officers, I’m writing to welcome all to the 2010-2011 school year and invite each of you to participate in this year’s PTSA activities.  It will be great to have your membership, but what we’re really hoping for is your involvement.  By all of us working together, we can accomplish far more for our students.  This doesn’t mean that everyone has to work on each project and event.  If everyone just picked one this year and gave an honest effort, it will prevent the few “regulars” from carrying all the load.

I also want to introduce our new officers:  Mr. Tony Welsh, vice president; Mrs. D’Laine Krogstad, secretary and Mrs. Timmy Rothermel, treasurer.  We pledge to do our part to make the PTSA an integral part of Morristown education and ask you to do the same.

You will find a PTSA section in school calendars, announcing upcoming events and asking for your assistance.  PTSA information is also available on the MES web page at http://ourteacherspage.com/morristown/.  I also ask you to attend our monthly meetings and make your inputs to improve our collective efforts.  The first meeting will be this Thursday at 7:00 PM.  We will have regular meetings on the third Thursday of each month as long as this doesn’t conflict with other school or major holidays and community events. 

Your first opportunity for membership enrollment will be at the MES Open House this Wednesday, 18 Aug.   We’re looking forward to a productive year and urge your membership and participation.
