Team work and spirit are among the important skills the school fosters. The fee for this and all sports is twenty dollars for the quarter. **Track Season is this Spring. We are looking forward to the Fifth Annual Track Meet April 1, 2011. Students Thank Weber Services, Inc. and Beauchamp Grading, both Morristown businesses for completing the wonderful quarter mile track. The General Federated Woman's Club-Morristown has already donated a park bench for the field to match the others on campus. Other organizations are welcome to do the same and submit a plaque name to be placed on the bench. Individuals are encouraged to donate to the Track Gift fund to help with other improvements such as bleachers, landscaping of the center and more. Members of the public are welcome to use the track when school is not in session.
**Basketball Season Coach Perry coached Basketball last school year.
The Girls Team took the Championship for the CENTRAL MOUNTAIN LEAGUE BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT last year.
***AZ Pioneers of Lucent Technology Volunteer Provide Map of U.S. game on old basketball court many years ago. The Arizona Pioneers of Lucent Technology volunteers who have helped with our Reading programs, painted a map of the U.S. on the school's old basketball court. Games are designed for it similar to hop scotch, but in this case students learn geography while also getting exercise! Individual students as well as teachers are making good use of the the map. The APLTV's gave the teachers a 40 page lesson plan book to go along with the map. Thanks to the APLTV's for all that they have done. The Chapter that helped Morristown School disbanded last. We love you all. And, thanks to the Morristown School support staff for refreshing the map with new paint. Paint donations would also be appreciated.
