Missouri Innovation Academy

Current high school sophomores or juniors living in Missouri with at least 3.0 G.P.A.

Missouri Public Affairs Academy

Current high school sophomores or juniors living in Missouri with at least 3.0 G.P.A.

Applicants should have community involvement and MUST attend the entire academy

National Youth Leadership Forum

CHCS students have attended these outstanding forums in the past; Requires a nomination from CHCS; See Mrs. Kruse in the Guidance Center if you are interested

Vanderbilt University Pre-College PAVE Program

Six week summer course of study designed to strengthen the academic skills of students who are planning to enter a college engineering, science, or technology program. 

For students completing the 11th or 12th grade.





Washington University Summer Scholars Program

Residential program for students who have completed 11th or 12th grade.




Washington Workshops


US Congressional Seminar; Model Congress; Diplomacy & Global Affairs Seminar; Internship Experience



Upward Bound Math & Science

Residential program at St. Louis University

Must be entering 11th or 12th grade

Tuition paid by a grant from the US Department of Education

GPA 2.75 or higher; Demonstrated interest in math and science

Must be first generation college bound student/or low income status



Mizzou Engineering Summer Program

Exposure to engineering disciplines, hands on learning, team design projects & competitions, earn Mizzou Engineering scholarships, live on campus
A fee is charged



M*A*S*H Summer Day Camp

Designed for 7th & 8th Grade students interested in science and the medical field

Participate in hands on experiments & lab activities

Learn about health care careers

Cadet Patrol Academy

MO State Highway Patrol Law Enforcement Academy Jefferson City, MO

Applications in the Guidance Center

40 Students will be selected from throughout the state of MO.  Students must be age 16 18, have a C average or better, be interested in learning more about Law enforcement, and be prepared physically and emotionally for the rigorous training they undergo at the MO State Highway Patrol.
